I think the main reason that I don't consider myself a feminist is because I believe in the fundamental difference between men and women. We are wired very differently, designed to perform different functions within relationships, within our families and within society.
That said, I do firmly believe in equal treatment for all people, regardless of sex (age, race or anything else).
I believe in the bible which says:
So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
In other words, treat everyone as you would have people treat you. Give grace where you would want it, give discipline where you would need it, give respect where you would desire it, and give equal pay when you would deserve it. Help others when you would need it.
