I love these online tax prep services, TurboTax, H&R Block, TaxAct, because they walk you through everything like you're a little kid. It's still really complicated, but the computer does a pretty good job of holding your hand throughout the whole process.
I'm really hoping I did that all right, because I seriously had no idea what I was doing. But H&R Block helped. PLUS, because I had less than whatever amount (I think it was like $60k limit), I didn't have to pay for the service to file my state and Fed taxes.
I'm kinda surprised that I'm getting a refund this year, because I made so little money, but I also paid very little taxes. I definitely took the standard deductions for both state and federal, which were both WAY more than my itemized, so I think that did most of the refund.
Honestly, I'm just grateful that it's done. Refund should be coming in 21-days.
